Details: Photo definitive -colors indicate a 1st winter. Due to private property, potential habitat disturbance if large numbers of birders stomped the area, and the schedule of farmer Richard, who first found the bird a few days earlier, it was not made public at his request. The area was mowed a couple of days later anyway. Amazingly, a Dickcissel was found this day sitting in same bush, with both posing nicely for several minutes.

Details: While intent on looking at Lark Sp., I noticed a bird that I mentioned to the team looked like a Dickcissel. Both got on it and agreed. It was in the same shrub as Lark Sp. Hard to believe two rarities in one spot posing for several minutes. See definitive photo. Due to private property, potential habitat disturbance if large numbers of birders stomped the area, and the schedule of farmer Richard, it was not made public at his request. The area was mowed a couple of days later anyway.
