    Details: Large shorebirds showing cinnamon body coloration, long pink bills slightly upturned, not straight like Willet nor downward curved like Whimbrel. The group of three flew in from the west, dropping down and appearing as if they would land but instead vocalized loudly and banked upward above the trees. They made one loop overhead then sped off due east towards Back Bay. This is only my third record in Virginia Beach and is my first of more than one individual, as well as my first not immediately coastal adjacent. First record of more than one in Virginia Beach since 2011, and the highest count since 4 were recorded in 1999 at Back Bay NWR. Photographed poorly in flight, see below.
