    Details: Juvenile sandpiper noticeably larger than surrounding Semipalmated Sandpipers. Primaries extended well beyond tail, bill was thin like a Least Sandpiper's, brown on throat with indistinct streaking. Entire back of bird had pale feather edgings giving it a scaly look.
