Ran into Colin Sumrall and shared the cold with him. Hard to break away with the huge numbers of gulls. I was still there around 5:50 pm. Disappointed to hear gunshots that late from across the river.

    Comments: Not with the other 6. Somewhat smaller, peaked head shape.

    Comments: Distant, probably Lessers seen earlier from bridge

    Comments: Presumably the 3 White-winged seen earlier from bridge, but far away - chunky blackish dark ducks.

    Comments: 2 male, 1 female. This flew by and gained elevation, appeared to be leaving. Lots of white flashing in the wings. Males dark heads contrasting sharply with white breasts.

    Comments: Females. Pretty sure these two had been sitting on the water and took flight to join the 3 Commons when they flew over.

    Comments: Wild estimate, gulls swirling from leftmost main channel all the way past bridge to sailboat marina with many many more on water. Gave up counting by 100s.
