  1. Number observed: 2
    Age & Sex:
    Juvenile Immature Adult Age Unknown
    Male 2
    Sex Unknown
  2. Number observed: 7

Comments: Two groups: 5 across river, 2 closer to the east of bridge. Rounded heads, bright white sides on males. Saw wings with white into primaries on 2 of the 5.

  3. Number observed: 21

Comments: All one group, flew in and landed a little further out than the two near Greater.

  4. Number observed: 3

Comments: Saw 4 scoters together on water. Could see white in secondaries of 2 as they were swimming. One of these seemed lighter colored and rode slightly higher in the water. Boat flushed them and 3 were clearly white-winged: dark-bodied with obvious white speculum. The 4th had no white in wing. It split from the others, flying in the direction of The Cove. The 3 were still out in middle of big water at 1645.

  5. Surf/Black Scoter

    Number observed: 1

Comments: Thinking this was Surf, but need to see if photos show anything. Update: photos inconclusive. Too distant, not sharp, and birds had heads tucked. The one I think was this bird appeared to have a dark cap. In flight, belly was lighter than breast and body (not all dark like the others), so probably juvenile.
