    Details: An extraordinary bird. Beautiful short red crest and red on face. One of three cuckoos in two hours!

    Details: One bird. Looked as it flew in like a hawk cuckoo only smaller. Rusty underparts. Now probably renamed Rusty breasted cuckoo by some authorities

    Details: One of two bonuses this afternoon. Almost stepped on it as I went looking for some striated grassbirds that I could hear but not see. Swept past me with large white wing patches flashing

    Details: Second bonus for the afternoon. Forest not dense enough to expect a trogon. One female. Quite tame. Sat in the open for five minutes.

    Details: Should be renamed skitty Kingfisher in the Philippines. Flies off even before you approach. Very much like the White breasted Kingfisher back home except the white is drawn to the upper throat in a small patch.
