This was a Big Day-style full day of birding on foot at the end of my six-week field season at Los Amigos. I started with some night birding and birded the many habitats present at the site for the rest of the day, ending with a little more night birding. It was my last day off of the field season, and the weather was hot, with a high of 97F/36C degrees. Habitats visited included terra firme, bamboo, floodplain forest, secondary growth, river edge, palm swamp (aguajal), oxbow lake, and oxbow lake marsh. I walked a total of 20.68 km, 11.16 km during daytime hours, an average daytime speed of approximately 0.93 km/hr.
