Details: *Flagged as rare. First report and first record in NE FL this year. This marks the earliest known record in county history. Very localized breeding species. Known to breed in this corridor in N. Jacksonville. Poor photos obtained below; the top frame links to my Flickr where you can hear the bird calling along with a Great Crested. Bird does not visually appear in the shaky video. I was sitting on top of a kayak in a light current and couldn't stay very steady. These were calling about 1 mile upstream; not anywhere near the kayak launch/parking area. Not chaseable at this location unless by boat.
