Details: These were the first shots of the morning at very low light (ISO 4000) and I could barely see the bird in the LCD. I assumed it was a Warbling Vireo (which I have shot in this location) from the head markings but later on realized this was not a Vireo. It kept low among the cattails and made no sound, skirting about much like a Marsh Wren. It's unfortunate I did not realize what it was until later, I would have stuck with it for some better images.

There is a trail that goes out to the levee just round the corner from the observation deck. The bird was observed at the end of that trail in the cattails directly behind the beaver dam.
