Published reservoir level 891.05 feet, down 0.17' from 9/1 and down 2.16' since 7/29. Flats continue to drift westward, vast areas of mud throughout the area. Extensive flats still not quite exposed at Golden Run.

    Details: I was wearing a flare orange hat due to the presence of goose hunters, and this bird flew out onto the flats and buzzed around my head investigating it. Juvenile

    Details: One molting adult and one juv.

    Details: Presumed continuing juvenile that was found on Thursday 9/1 by Neil Troyer. I did not see this bird on Thursday afternoon and I don't know if anyone searched for it on Friday. Banded: orange band on upper right leg, metal band on upper left leg, yellow bands on both lower legs that may have had either darker (orange) markings or complete orange rings in addition to yellow. See photos attached. First Mercer County record.

    Details: A small cache of warblers and chickadees near the road held Cape May and Bay Breasted; there was at least one more unidentified warbler with them. While photographing the Piping Plover far out on the mudflats, I was also hearing warbler calls overhead, a few zeeps as well as one or two more like Cape May.
