Details: This morning I was pleasantly surprised to find a SAGE THRASHER along the 0.25 mile gravel road that runs north towards our house off of Obryan Lane. The bird bird was feeding low along the gravel road and tall grasses that borders the road and the alfalfa fields. I believe the bird was in worn adult plumage, with two pale wing bars, overall it was a sandy brown/gray color, longish tail, pale yellowish eye, straight dark thin bill, faint streaking on the upper breast and flanks, about the size of a N. Mockingbird, and a light white eye line. There is only one accepted record in July for Flathead County on eBird, but I suspect they will be found along the Browns Meadow Road in SW Flathead County.
