    Details: Observed one adult male Purple-backed Starling today (14-11-2015 8:30 am) at Punchakari Tvpm; The bird was seen perched on the electric line among Rosy Starlings and Common Myna; Distinguishably small plumbish and whitish; Black crown patch; Flew into an acasia tree with the Rosy starlings when disturbed and promptly returned to the electric line after some time; It walked typically starling-like on the tree; Occasionally flew down to the nearby bushes to feed; Was able to observe for a long time and the bird was seen at its perch even as we (Arun C G and myself) returned

    Details: There were more than 15 yellow wagtails of which at least 15 were Mft. The GREY head and GREY lore with supercilium and the distinct wing coverts are taken as clue to id the juvenile Mft which distinguish it from Mfb which have light blue or light grey head and longish supercilium
