Checked out the Dungeness NWR, first in the wooded area for a while, then out on the sand spit. Found a few of the Caspian Terns we were after, but on the way back saw what looked like (and later determined to be) a female King Eider. Need to evaluate gull photos, but pretty nice finds for not having a scope with.

    Details: Got a couple blurry photos. Stocky grayish bird, black bill with "grinning" expression; whitish behind bill, with pale line circling the back of the face up to the eye.
