  6. Number observed: 22

Comments: 2 main groups. one of 14 the other 8.

  7. Number observed: 1
  8. Number observed: 27

Comments: most in one group hanging out with gulls and terns towards south end of road; on grass beds

  9. Number observed: 1

Comments: continuing female. observed foraging perhaps 100 ft away (or less) with greater yellowlegs and short-billed dowitcher, at south end of same location where it has been observed lately. foraging companions allowed for great size comparison, as ruff was clearly shorter and more plump than yellowlegs, but upright vs. hunched over appearance of the SB dowitcher. legs were a yellowy/orange color, with a slightly decurved bill (mainly at tip of bill). much shorter bill than either dowitcher or yellowlegs. upperside plumage coloration and pattern very distinct and stood out against the other species present.
