    Details: Probably an undercount. medium sized duck with exaggerated spatulate bill, males with greenish heads. Somewhat still in late summer molt.

    Details: Probably an undercount. Hordes of Mallards at this location in the main south pool with the rest of the ducks. In flight, these birds had blue speculum bordered by white. On the water, males easily identified by dark green head and chestnut breast.

    Details: dark brown diving duck with white patch around base of the bill. One flapped its wings once and the white speculum stripe extended only half-way down the wing. Head peaked towards the rear.

    Details: small, dark diving duck with a small white cheek patch, which was not as big as the ruddy duck white cheek. Actively diving and feeding most of the time.

    Details: Nearly exact count made by birders on the trip. South pool.

    Details: 4 birds with golden brown bodies, obvious white eyebrow stripe. thick bodied, small headed, large plovers, that in flight had no black wing-pit and visible stripe on the long wings.

    Details: Mostly young of the year and sub-adults with some adult birds perched on the old rusty barge. Good scope views. black caps, stocky body, black bills on the adults and sub adults, gray bodies.

    Details: two huge kettles formed over the island, many folks were counting and estimating the numbers. Kettles exclusively BWHA with candle flame shaped wings, and adults with thick black and white banded tails. Others came by in some smaller flocks. Flocks passing around 11:30am to 12:30 pm. They were heading west towards the western shore, probably 400 meters up.
