  1. Number observed: 2

Comments: A male and female were observed in mesquite trees at the north end parking lot at Sable Palm Grove Sanctuary in Brownsville. The male was dark gray above and pale gray/white below. Noted was a blackish crown and a pale gray face with a whitish chin. The distinctive and stunning rosy/pink throat was hard to miss.

The female was a dark buff/brown above and a pale cinnamon/buff below and around the nape area. The slate coloured crown cap was noted.

  2. Number observed: 1

Comments: We observed this long tailed male bird in a field where Trail A meets Woods Road. The upperparts were an olive/brown colour the underparts were yellow. The head and some of the hindneck was gray.
I looked for and even though the bird was moving around a lot through my scope I saw the distinctive black lores and the broken white eye ring.
