Identification

POWERED BY MERLIN

Small parrot with a short, squared tail. The body is largely green with distinctive brown bases to the wings and an orangey face. Males have orange outer tail feathers, all green on females. Rare Brazilian endemic species restricted to humid forest where it is usually silent whilst perched, but is more vocal in flight.
