Botanical walk with Peter Hale, non-birder. Birds incidental, and vast majority just heard (unseen).

Four old nests seen but no birds seen or heard

Heard numbers flying high overhead on and off for over 1.5 hours this morning (first flying to west, and much later to east), while bushwalking in remote rainforest in the park. The forest was so dense and tall that it was very difficult to see the birds, but eventually through gaps in the canopy - with binocs on maximum focal length - I saw up to 4 at a time, specks in the sky but easily recognisable by their shape and conspicuous white-tipped tail, and of course, the calls. Estimated 50, but judging from
