Date and Effort
Mon Aug 27, 2018
Protocol:
Incidental
Party Size:
N/A
Observers:
Birdline Australia
Comments:
4 Wedge-tailed Eagles observed flying and practicing dives before two perched in a large, recently dead gum tree for ten minutes or so. Unusual to see this many eagles together in this urban area. Even more unusual to have them take a rest. The tree they perched in afforded them excellent views down the valley, which they flew down when they left, creating a fair amount of noise from all the resident local birds. Greg Flynn #235217
