Differentiated by smaller, straighter bill than other Godwits, uniform grey upper plumage, partial breeding plumage coming into breast showing orange colouration with faint bars, completely white underwing, large white wing bar, and large white rump on black tail.

Hudsonian Godwit

Differentiated from other godwits by long, upturned bill reminiscent of Bar-tailed combined with plumage colouration reminiscent of a Black-tailed, tail colouration similar to black-tailed but less white to more black, shorter white wing bar than black-tailed, and dark axilliaries and underwing.
