Much observed bird. Long, slender body, erect stance, fast bursts of running, pale buff from head to under tail coverts, stronger buff on open face, upper part feathers with dark centres, long wings extended beyond tail tip, shortish dark, straight bill, yellow legs, about size of Red-capped plover (direct comparison), but longer bodied and more attenuated. Seen for about ten minutes, then disappeared, probably behind samphire next to the lagoon.
