Small bird with thin pointed bill. Upperparts greenish brown, underparts yellow, with heavily streaked cheek patch, dark brown eye, and unpatterned forehead (unlike similar species). Inhabits open forests and woodlands of eastern Australia. Forages for insects mainly in trees and shrubs.
