Parked at the Surf Club carpark & walked along the track towards the headland. The Crimson Chat likes the sandy section with the plant protectors & edged with a fence. It flew back towards Dee Why about 50-100m before disappearing into the vegetation. It took 40 minutes for it to appear.

Details: Continuing bird now present for 2 weeks. After 40 minutes I saw the bird in low vegetation & then it slew 50 metres or so to the sandy area with plants & protectors next to a fence. It foraged there for a few minutes before flying back towards Dee Why, perching briefly in several dead sticks. Small bird, brown cap, light eye, red rump & some small red patches on flanks. Photographed.
