We’ve created two island scale maps to highlight where no (zero!) diurnal effort hours have been undertaken so far in the summer season since the project began in 2019. This is to help you as part of the community to better visualise the gaps that still remain, and hopefully to inspire you this summer season to go explore and undertake some Atlasing in some much needed spots!

They are split into two maps, North Island/Te Ika-a-Māui and South Island/Te Waipounamu. Simply click on each one to be linked to a downloadable high resolution file so that you can zoom in to explore them more. Feel free to download these on to your phone, tablet or PC to have on hand and help you focus in on areas. We recommend using these in tandem with the Atlas Effort Map and the Summary pages, and the list of the grid squares is given below too for further reference.
