Comments: Pale gray Empidonax with weak eye ring was seen first along the scrub/bushy with wetlands near the Seal Cove pull off. The gray coloring and no clear eye ring narrowed it to Traill’s Flycatcher. Thankfully this individual moved to another snag and called three times and then roughly one minute later it called again once. All four calls in total were slow one-note ascending rrrrrrIP sounding calls. It was distinctively different than the clear two-note rrrrBEEW calls common from Alder.
