Details: At West Quoddy light, watching groups of 2-8 birds flying between Grand Manan and the lighthouse, all flying north. Pointed bills, all white underneath, black heads. Two were closer in so we could see the details.

We went back on 25 May with a scope - there was a large feeding group of gulls so the murres were stopping and sitting on the water. We could clearly see the white lines on their gapes as well as the white point of the belly feathers coming up to the neck. we also checked for the dark underwing and saw only white. As far as we could see, there were only Thick-bills, no Commons. There were at least 50 present - doing the same thing, flying in small groups to the north.
