Tanana Valley Sandhill Crane Festival Aug 20-22, 2021

Join the Friends of Creamer’s Field on August 20-22 to celebrate the 24th annual Tanana Valley Sandhill Crane Festival at Creamer’s Field State Migratory Waterfowl Refuge in Fairbanks, Alaska. Creamer’s Field State Migratory Waterfowl Refuge is known as one of the best places in Alaska to witness large congregations of Sandhill Cranes as adults and young refuel on their journey south each fall.

This year’s festival includes bird banding demonstrations put on by the Alaska Songbird Institute, guided nature and history walks, photography workshops, kids’ events, and an exciting talk by USFWS wildlife biologist and keynote speaker Laura McDuffie. A full event schedule and updates can be found on the Friends of Creamer’s Field website and social media pages.
