A big high pressure system currently stretches from the entire eastern seaboard to the Ohio Valley and Deep South. To the west, a storm system will make its way across the Rockies into the n. plains and Great Lakes over the weekend. Strong southerly air flow will develop for the weekend from the southeast into the Middle Atlantic States, as a front drops southward into the Northeast. The storm system from the Upper Great Lakes will slide eastward and eventually stall out along the eastern seaboard late in the forecast period. The West Coast will see high pressure and fair weather to begin the period. Expect another storm in the northwest by the middle to end of the next week.
