This is the regional eBird project for Puerto Rico. eBird is a web-based database in which users can submit, save and explore their bird observations. These observations are part of the complex puzzle of the birds of Puerto Rico. In this application, you will be able to submit observations, not only of rare species, but also common species such as the Bananaquit, Greater Antillean Grackle, White-winged Dove, or Great Kingbird. In addition to submit your observations, you can also make some basic analysis about bird distribution and activity patterns.
eBird Puerto Rico comes to satisfy a need to consolidate information on bird species distribution and occurrence. It will be a permanent record of rare and common species in the island. It will also help promote bird watching in Puerto Rico.
We invite you to register on eBird Puerto Rico, take your binoculars and enjoy days and days of bird observations. Also enjoy submitting your observations and become part of this great internet community.
Let's go birding!!
