   Larger than HERG, with bicolored bill (black tip, horn/pink base), entire bird off-white from wingtip to wingtip and including tail.

   Details

   Adult graellsii. Very dark mantle, no string of pearls, yellow legs. Yellow bill with red spot on gonydeal area.

   Details

Both intermediate in primary pattern, with dark gray or black pigmentation on outer webs of outer primaries, approaching THGU but primary pigmentation not dark enough, and p10 with too much white, and pigmentation not coming proximally far enough (p4 and p5 appeared to lack this). The distance of viewing also contributed to my inability to nail down at least one of these candidates to THGU. 6. Iceland Gull (kumlieni/glaucoides)

   Number observed:  2

   Details

   1st/2nd cycle bird creamy white on entire body, with all black bill. Only a very weak ghost pattern of tail band, body size smaller than HERG. Adult bird smaller than HERG, with very small amount of gray pigmentation on outer webs of outer primaries.
