Great sunset. Went to see the roost with Kimya Lambert and met up with Scott Hoppe's field trip including Ed Pandolfino and Ed Harper. Others that happened by were Terry Colborn, Sami LaRocca, Gene Trap and JoEllen Ryan, and many more. Submitted from BirdLog NA for Android v1.9.3

    Details

    Counted by Shawn Lockwood who has been monitoring this huge communal roost; perhaps the largest ever recorded of this species. The harriers were coming in from all directions to roost in the tall grass field, with a lot of interactions and aerial skirmishes.

    Two seen together at once. One landed and may have been the same that appeared to be flushed by a coyote. Could have been as many as four.
