Point at start. First day of BBC Pelagic trip. We motored out past Nantucket and over Nantucket Shoals and continued on to Dogbody Canyon. We then ran east along the shelf edge to a nice drop off at Dogbody Canyon, where did a a prolonged chumming stand and got White-faced and Band-rumped Storm-Petrels. Later, we ran further east along the shelf, picked up another White-faced, and then did some more chumming in rather deep water off the southeast corner of Welker Canyon, getting more and better looks at Band-rumped. We ran further east at dusk, picked up a Bridled Tern in the half-light, and anchored just west of Oceanographer Canyon overnight. Seas moderate with 10-15 mph NE wind.
