Checklist Comments

Second day of BBC Pelagic trip. We began at Oceanographer Canyon where we chummed for three hours and had very productive results. Then we motored slowly east with a following sea towards Welker Canyon, and made another chumming stand along the deep wall of Welker Canyon. After some more productive chumming, we turned and headed north, stopping just a couple times for Audubon's Shearwaters and a couple other groups of birds. Seas 3-6 ft, slacking off to 1-3 ft once we were in cooler water on the shelf. Water temperatures around 78-79 F while in Shelf water, dropping slowly to 74 inshore and then abruptly to 62 when up on the shoals, which were quite foggy.
