74 degrees F, sunny, hot, strong (15-20 mph SW winds); unseasonal weather (sort of). Jason Strickland, Ernie Miller, Tommy Maloney, Lisa Rose & Tim Barry were out looking for the LCSP and Karen & Keith Roberts were heading back to the parking lot on my way out (they came back later in the day and successful saw the sparrow).

    Details

    Continuing at same location, this individual was logged initially 4 Dec 2016 by Andrew Baldelli. Ammodramus sparrow showing strong flank streaking and lacking it on buffy colored chest; flew in and landed about 10 feet away from us, then slowly poked around undergrowth, popping up occasionally to check us out. Photographed and view by 6 of us (Timothy Barry, Ernie Miller, Tommy Maloney, Jason Strickland & Lisa Rose, seen an hour or so later by Karen & Keith Roberts). Please note that this site is closed to the public Monday-Saturday throughout the winter months. Access regulations are clearly stated on the official park website.
