Are you looking for something fun to do over the summer of 2016? Consider a young birder camp! These are great opportunities to travel to incredible places, meet other young birders, and learn about future careers involving birds.

The American Birding Association offers two camps: Camp Colorado will have two dates, July 16-22 and July 25-31, and will explore the diversity of birds in the mountains and lowlands of Colorado. Camp Avocet explores the coasts and southern forests of Delaware and will run July 30-August 5.

Hog Island Audubon’s Coastal Maine Bird Studies for Teens, June 12-17 and June 19-24, teaches students about research and education at the historic Audubon Camp on Hog Island, Bremen, Maine.

You can find more summer opportunities here. Camps tend to fill quickly, so register soon!
