About eBird

Pennsylvania Game Commission

Pennsylvania Game Commission is the state’s wildlife agency with the mission of managing all wild birds, mammals, and their habitats for the current and future generations.  The wildlife diversity enjoyed today is largely due to its progressive, science-based wildlife management with support from countless citizens and organizations.  The PGC maintains over 1.4 million acres of Game Lands and promotes quality wildlife habitat on private lands.  The goal of its Wildlife Action Plan is to preserve the state’s native wildlife and habitats through proactive measures emphasizing voluntary and incentive-based programs.
