NYSOA

NYSOA's mission is to foster interest in and appreciation of birds, to protect birds and their habitats, and to document the ornithology of New York State. Founded in 1948, NYSOA offers opportunities for birders to develop and renew friendships at annual meetings, participate in projects and field trips, submit their writings and sightings for publication in its quarterly journal, and learn from workshops and world class speakers. NYSOA is the parent organization of the New York State Avian Records Committee (www.nybirds.org/NYSARC) and the New York State Young Birders Club (www.nysyoungbirders.org).
