American Robin We've passed the half-way mark in the 2008 season of the Winter Bird Atlas program, with at least some data from more than 160 quads. For an unofficial tabulation of species totals, party-hour totals, and good birds, instead of having to download an Excel file from the LWBA web page, I made the table directly available as a web page (although with some lingering format problems) here.

The LWBA program has produced one new state record this year (so far!), the Benton Quad's Gray Flycatcher, found by Terry Davis and Jeff Trahan. May another surprise turn up during the impending Mardi Gras holiday period. Learn more here.
