Birding News and Features
Welcome to the Avian International Monitoring Network
This project will concentrate on the gathering of bird occurrences,
especially migration data, on numerous, pre-defined sites around the Gulf of
Mexico, the Caribbean, and Central America. The goal of the project will be
to accumulate large amounts of observational and mist-netting data from
pre-defined localities using standardized data-gathering techniques. This data on migrating birds will help us to better understand patterns of migration movements, stopovers, habitat associations, and their response to ecological
change.
